BWSA Spring Soccer PreK - Grade 5 Registration Closed

NEED VOLUNTEERS TO ACCOMODATE LATE REGISTRATIONS

     It appears that many have missed the registration deadline for Big Walnut Soccer’s spring season. We have opened a late registration period for PreK through Grade 5 only.  The Middle School team is full, and we cannot accept any further registrations.  We will accept PreK - Grade 5 registrations until Tuesday, February 23rd at 11:55 pm.  Please share this info with anyone you know who is interested.  Please keep in mind, this is the final registration and must be done NOW so we can meet the time constraints of ordering jerseys and getting them here before the season starts. 
     Our league structure for spring registration is in place.  All new registrations will be placed on a waiting list as we will need enough late registrations to form new teams as well as enough volunteers to manage these teams. Please note: It will not be possible to make new teams without new volunteers.  For each registration, the system will charge your credit card $105+$20 late fee.  $5 of this is non-refundable due to costs associated with the transaction.  If your child cannot be placed on a team, we will refund $120.

     We will be using the State of Ohio COVID Mandates as a template for developing guidelines which will apply to our specific situations.  Please familiarize yourself with this information.

RECREATIONAL AGE DIVISIONS (PreK**, Kindergarten, Grades 1, 2-3, 4-5)

Teams will be formed by grade divisions and are Coed.

Pre-school children** must turn 4 by May 1st, of the current year to be eligible to play.

WHERE AND WHEN DO WE PLAY *Note - The following is our anticipated model in a Covid environment.  All this may be adjusted as dictated by CDC guidelines and at the discretion of the BWSA Board*

Practices usually begin in late March depending on the weather and how quickly we can set teams.  Games are scheduled to start April 17th and played on Saturdays but there could be Sunday and/or weeknight games during the season. Saturday games will begin between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. See note above.*  Games are played at Hylen Souders Elementary School, 4121 Miller-Paul Road, Galena. 

UNIFORMS AND EQUIPMENT

PreK - Grade 1 will receive a Timbit jersey included with your application fee. If you are in Grades 2-5, you will play with a red/white reversible jersey.  Returning players who have outgrown or lost your reversible jersey, please order a new jersey and include an additional $20.00 replacement fee.  All players must supply their own shorts, socks, shoes, soccer ball and required shin guards.  Shoes may be soccer, baseball, or an all-purpose type of cleat.  Metal cleats are not permitted. Tennis shoes, while permitted for the Recreational League, are not recommended.
